 IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OF 6TH DECEMBER, 2025 IMO POLICE COMMAND INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON KIDNAPPING, VIOLENT CRIMES ALONG OWERRI–ABA EXPRESSWAY As part of ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes along the Owerri–Aba Expressway, a high-powered team led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, inspected suspected kidnappers hideouts in Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala following credible intelligence on Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, currently at large. The delegation included the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu; Chief Pathologist, Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu; members of the Ngor Okpala Vigilante Group led by Mr. Henry Ikpe; and the Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. ONU: AFRICAN YOUTHS SHOULD EMBRACE STEM

The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu said that African youths must be encouraged to study subjects bordering on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics(STEM) for their respective countries to achieve sustainable and meaningful development.

The Minister said this in Abuja, at his investiture as the Patron for the upcoming Sahel Military games.


Dr. Onu who was made the patron of the Sahel Military games which is to be held in Nigeria said that the games would help integrate African armies and foster peace in the Sahel region.


He further advocated for African nations to invest more in Scientific Research and Development.


Dr. Onu said that for African countries to stem the tide of illegal migration through the Mediterranean Sea, they must be self sufficient and indigenously develop technologies.   


Earlier the Minister of state for Science and Technology, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi, said the Ministry has dedicated some of its research and development components for the production of sporting and other related items such as military combat boots for physical fitness and foot protection in rugged environments.


He further appealed to the organisation to patronise the products from indigenous research and development agencies, adding that they are of good quality and their patronage will encourage local production, wealth creation, save foreign exchange and boost the socio-economic situation.


In his remarks, the president of the board of Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, (OSMA) Brig. Gen Maikano Abdullahi, said that the upcoming Sahel games was to encourage military integration and promote peace especially in the Sahel sub-region of Africa.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
