 Popular Awka MC And Comedian Aiza Nwosu Shot Dead Popular Awka-born master of ceremonies, comedian and griot, Aiza Nwosu, was reportedly shot dead today, Sunday, 30th August 2026, in Awka, Anambra State. Unconfirmed reports circulating online allege that his killing may be connected to a lingering land-related dispute. This remains unverified, however, and it is now left for the relevant security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The tragic news has shocked many, particularly within Awka and the entertainment community. It also raises renewed concerns about violent killings in Awka and the urgent need to address insecurity in the area. Aiza had been active in the entertainment industry for many years and was a friend and colleague to many. He was also known for mentoring younger entertainers and contributing to the growth of the local entertainment scene. ZAMFARA CIVIL SERVANTS JUBILATE AS GOV. MATAWALLE PAYS JULY SALARY AHEAD OF SALLAH CELEBRATION.[PHOTO].#PRESS RELEASE.

Report reaching Omonaijablog has it that, Zamfara State civil servants have received their July salary alerts to enable them  celebrate  E'idil Kabir Sallah celebration.


In the same development, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State His Excellency Bello Muhammad Matawalle wishes all the good people of Zamfara state a fruitful Sallah celebrations while urging the good people of the state to use the period to pray for the insecurity challenges affecting the state and the country at large.


Our correspondent reported that, Gov. Matawalle  was quoted to have describes Zamfara state civil servants as partners in progress whose welfare packages would continue to remains his topmost priority.


Governir Matawalle said; "thanksgiving should be made to Allah (SWT) to help restore peace, and oneness among the people of Zamfara and Nigeria as a nation. Saying issues of insecurity in this country could be a thing of the past when we all join hands in prayers and fighting kidnapping banditry and all the acts of insecurity."



The Governor expressed his profound gratitude to all members of state civil servants, and all citizens of zamfara state who are working day and night tirelessly to ensure a smooth and hitch free administration of which it will be impossible to achieve anything. 



Governor Matawalle therefore assures the citizens that their welfare will be his topmost priority and that he is doing everything in his power to ensure everyone is safe, sound, secured and happy.
