 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. CIVIL UNREST IN PLATEAU STATE: STATE GOVT ISSUES 24HOURS CURFEW,CHURCHES,UNIJOS SUSPEND OPERATIONS.{PHOTO}.

Following the killings in the capital of Plateau state on Saturday, 14th August, 2021, the state government has issued a 24hours curfew to curtail the situation. 


According to reports, a couple was killed in the early hours of Sunday August 15, on their way from church. 


Residents, business owners and commuters have been warned to remain indoors while military personnel have been deployed in Rukuba road, Gada biu, polo round about, hill station roundabout and several other parts of the city.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
