 Nigerians Lose Over N1.3 Trillion in CBEX Digital Trading Platform Crash Nigerians are reeling from a massive financial blow after CBEX, an unregistered digital asset trading platform, allegedly wiped out over N1.3 trillion from investors’ accounts on Monday. The platform, which operated without approval from the Nigeria Securities Commission (SEC), crashed, leaving investors unable to access their funds. Outraged investors flooded social media, particularly X, to express their frustration. CBEX reportedly locked its Telegram channels and suspended withdrawals, offering investors verification options of $2,000 for $200 or $1,000 for $100, further fueling suspicions of foul play. Cryptocurrency expert Taiwo Owolabi estimated the stolen funds at $847 million in USDT, with losses likely to rise. Gov. Buni Approves Recruitment of 45 Midwives


The Yobe state Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved the recruitment of 45 graduands of Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery.


Gov. Buni gave the approval today saying, this is to improve the manpower required in health institutions across the state.


The 45 midwives who recently graduated from the state owned college of Nursing and Midwifery, will be employed and posted to health facilities in need of additional manpower.


The governor reiterated that, healthcare delivery remains a priority area of his administration and would continue to provide manpower, equipment and all other facilities required to make healthcare delivery accessible and affordable to the people of the state.


He charged the potential recruits to be dedicated to their duties and to justify the confidence reposed in them in their new areas of assignment.


The Buni administration has established 105 out of 178 targeted functional  Primary Healthcare Centers slated for every electoral ward across the state.
