 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Pella-Maiha Road Will Be Soon Be Completed, Adamawa Govt


In line with the policy thrust of the Fintiri led administration towards completion of abandoned projects, the Adamawa government moved to ensure timely completion of the Pella-Maiha road.


The government arrived at this decision during the state Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the government House, Yola Wednesday.


According to the commissioner of information and Strategy, Doctor Umar Garba Pella the council has approved over 56 million nairas to engage a consultant that will monitor the Project.


The Commissioner also revealed that the council has also ratified the contract award for the rehabilitation of 33 VK lines and township distribution of transformers.


On his part, the Commissioner of Works, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar said the contract was awarded in 2007 but was abandoned, assuring that the project will soon be completed.
