 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ON INEC VOTER REGISTRATION AT ANAMBRA WARDS.{PHOTO}.

Public Service Announcement On INEC Voter Registration At Anambra Wards 


This is to inform the public that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will begin the Continuous Voter Registration exercise at all the 326 Wards in Anambra State beginning from Monday, 30 August 2021. 


The address and location of the registration centre in each wards is published at the 21 LGA offices of INEC. 


The exercise will end on Sunday, 5th September 2021.

 

The continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise is for the following categories of people: 

1. New Registrants (that is, persons that are up to 18 years of age but who have not registered before)

2. Old registrants who have experienced any form of problem with accreditation in the past elections, such as failure to read their card, failed authentication process, fingerprint issues and when a voter has PVC but can’t find his or her name in the electoral Register

3. Old Registrants seeking transfer, collection of cards, correction of personal information etc.

 

The Commission calls on eligible registrants to take advantage of this opportunity to register in order to participate in the November 6, 2021 governorship election. 


Please note that in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act, the CVR exercise in Anambra State will be suspended on 6th September 2021.
