 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT NABBED, GUN, AMMUNITION RECOVERED IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Police Command has again demonstrated its avowed commitment to providing robust safety and protection for the good people of Lagos State as a member of a notorious, dare- devil armed robbery gang was arrested in Bode Thomas area, Lagos State at about 2220hrs of 1/9/2021.
The suspect, Olawale Samsudeen, 27, was arrested when he and two other members of the criminal gang attempted to rob a victim in his provisions shop at Eric Moore Close, Off Eric Moore Road, Bode Thomas.

The victim, however, raised the alarm which attracted a police anti-crime patrol team on routine patrol in the area. The patrol team in a swift response, raced to the scene and with the assistance of members of the public arrested the suspect while two others escaped with the gang's operational motorcycle.
Items recovered from the arrested suspect included a locally-made pistol and three cartridges.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to be a member of an armed gang terrorising residents of Bode Thomas, Surulere and other parts of the State recently.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that the case be transferred to the Command's Special Squad for further investigation.
The CP, while commending the quick response of the patrol team of the Division, enjoins members of the public to have confidence in the police by giving prompt and reliable information at all times.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
