 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. CUSTOM SERVICE SEIZES OVER 200 MOTORCYCLES FROM BANDITS IN KATSINA.{PHOTO}

The operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC) seized no fewer than 202 motorcycles from suspected bandits and other criminals in Katsina State between August and September.


Chedi said that the motorcycles, mostly Boxers and Jencheng models, were intercepted around forests close to borders.


“We suspected that the motorcycles were used for conveyance of petrol, food items and smuggled items to bandits in the forest.


“Most of the people we seized the motorcycles from fled and no one came to claim the motorcycles,’’ the controller said.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
