 OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT TAKES SWIFT ACTION ON SAGAMU INTERCHANGE SECURITY CONCERNS In response to rising security concerns at the Sagamu Interchange, Amotekun operatives and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) carried out operations under the bridge this morning to address criminal activities in the area. The government acknowledges the disturbing reports of violent attacks on innocent citizens and assures residents that decisive measures are being taken to restore safety. The security agencies have been mobilized to increase surveillance and crack down on criminal elements operating in the vicinity. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies. The Ogun State Government remains committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and travelers. DECLARE BANDITS AS TERRORISTS,SENATE TELLS PRESIDENT BUHARI.{PHOTO}.

The Senate has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits as terrorists.


It also advised the president to wage total war against the bandits, including bombing all their locations to annihilate and eliminate them.


The Red Chamber also asked Buhari to declare all the known leadership of the bandits wanted and track them wherever they are for arrest and prosecution.


The resolutions followed a motion by Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir (Sokoto East) and eight others.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
