 TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site. INSECURITY: NCC SHUTS DOWN ALL TELECOM OPERATIONS IN ZAMFARA STATE.[PHOTO].

 The Nigerian Communications Commission has announced the shutdown of all telecom operations sites in Zamfara to deal with the rising insecurity.


The NCC disclosed this in a statement on Friday evening, signed by its CEO, Prof. Umar Danbatta, viewed by Nairametrics.


“The pervading security situation in Zamfara State has necessitated an immediate shut down of all telecommunications services in the State from today September 03, 2021,” the statement said.


They added that the shutdown is to enable relevant security agencies carry out required activities towards addressing the security challenge in the state.


“In line with this requirement, Globalcom is hereby directed to shut down all sites n Zamafara state and any sites in neighbouring states that could provide telecommunications series in Zamfara State,” it said.


They added that the shutdown will operate for 2 weeks from the 3rd of September to the 17th of September.
