 TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site. SUSPECTED HOODLUMS SET ABLAZE A VEHICLE CONVEYING FOOD ITEMS IN ENUGU YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

 Suspected hoodlums have set ablaze a vehicle conveying food items in Enugu State on Monday, September 27.


The vehicle was set on fire during the sit-at-home declared by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).


The vehicle conveying tomatoes, vegetables and other food items was burnt at Edem junction, Ibeagwa in Enugu East Local Government Area of the state.


It was gathered that the vehicle was returning from the Ugwogo end of the Opi-Enugu by-pass when it was attacked.


Sympathisers were said to have put a call to the State Fire Service, who eventually contained the inferno.


A sympathiser said; “It’s a fairly huge loss which ought not to have occurred had our people reasoned very well before embarking on retrogressive actions such as this one.”


Meanwhile, Enugu police Command, said nobody had been arrested so far in connection with the incident, adding that investigation had commenced.
