  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. SUSPECTED HOODLUMS SET ABLAZE A VEHICLE CONVEYING FOOD ITEMS IN ENUGU YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

 Suspected hoodlums have set ablaze a vehicle conveying food items in Enugu State on Monday, September 27.


The vehicle was set on fire during the sit-at-home declared by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).


The vehicle conveying tomatoes, vegetables and other food items was burnt at Edem junction, Ibeagwa in Enugu East Local Government Area of the state.


It was gathered that the vehicle was returning from the Ugwogo end of the Opi-Enugu by-pass when it was attacked.


Sympathisers were said to have put a call to the State Fire Service, who eventually contained the inferno.


A sympathiser said; “It’s a fairly huge loss which ought not to have occurred had our people reasoned very well before embarking on retrogressive actions such as this one.”


Meanwhile, Enugu police Command, said nobody had been arrested so far in connection with the incident, adding that investigation had commenced.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
