 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. *RESCHEDULED: VENUE OF WAEC COMPUTER BASE TEST IN ANAMBRA STATE FOR 2020 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE OF TEN THOUSAND (10,000) POLICE CONSTABLES INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE*


The Anambra State Police Command wishes to inform the general public especially *Ndi Anambra* and the already shortlisted candidates for the *West African Examination Council WAEC Computer Base Test (CBT) Examination of 2020 Police recruitment* that the venue which was earlier slated at St Anthony Padua, ICT Hall, Nnaka have been rescheduled as follow: 


*Venue: Grafil House Computers Ltd. Nos. 15 high tension road, by aroma Junction, off Enugu Onitsha Expressway Awka, Anambra State.*


*Date: Friday  29th – Saturday 30th October, 2021.*


*Time: 8:00am daily* 


In view of the above, candidates are advice to mandatory come along with printout of their CBT examination slips and appear in white shirts, shorts and white canvas and with a pair of socks. Also, those who had earlier printed the examination slip, are further advised to revisit the website http://www.policerecruitment.gov.ng on or before 28th of October 2021, and reprint the examination slip. 


Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command, *CP Echeng Echeng* assures  candidates, WAEC officials and members of the public of adequate security during the period. He wishes the candidates success in their exams and urges them to adhere strictly to all covid-19 protocols.
