A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities.  IMO STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH OCDA SEALS ILLEGALLY ACQUIRED PROPERTIES IN SHELL CAMP


... GIVES TRADERS AT OLD TIMBER MARKET ONE MONTH TO RELOCATE TO PERMANENT SITE.


The Imo State Government through the Special Adviser/General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), Engr. Francis Chukwu, on Monday  kick started the recovery of land assets belonging to Imolites,sequel to State Government plans to return illegally converted lands by previous administration to the original owners.


According to the OCDA boss, he stated that the government is leaving no stone unturned in returning illegally acquired properties to the original owner, he said that the 3R administration of Gov. Hope Uzodimma,is one that believes in transparency and accountability in service to the people. 


In another development traders occupying old timber market have been asked to relocate to their permanent site in Naze Owerri North within one month, while those at Naze roundabout were asked to vacate the green verge area. 


According to Engr. Chukwu, is in a bid to restoring the master plan of the capital city, stressing that it is hazardous trading at those areas, which is not in the original master plan of the city.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
