 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  IMO STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH OCDA SEALS ILLEGALLY ACQUIRED PROPERTIES IN SHELL CAMP


... GIVES TRADERS AT OLD TIMBER MARKET ONE MONTH TO RELOCATE TO PERMANENT SITE.


The Imo State Government through the Special Adviser/General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), Engr. Francis Chukwu, on Monday  kick started the recovery of land assets belonging to Imolites,sequel to State Government plans to return illegally converted lands by previous administration to the original owners.


According to the OCDA boss, he stated that the government is leaving no stone unturned in returning illegally acquired properties to the original owner, he said that the 3R administration of Gov. Hope Uzodimma,is one that believes in transparency and accountability in service to the people. 


In another development traders occupying old timber market have been asked to relocate to their permanent site in Naze Owerri North within one month, while those at Naze roundabout were asked to vacate the green verge area. 


According to Engr. Chukwu, is in a bid to restoring the master plan of the capital city, stressing that it is hazardous trading at those areas, which is not in the original master plan of the city.
