 TRAGIC LOSS OF NYSC CORPS MEMBER DURING ARMED ROBBERY INCIDENT IN DEI-DEI Headquarters Guards Brigade regrets the tragic loss of Mr. Abdulsamad Jamiu, a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member  during a security incident in the early hours of 25 April 2026 at Shagari Estate, Dei-Dei, Abuja. The unfortunate incident occurred when troops of the Guards Brigade Quick Response Group, on routine night patrol, responded to a distress call following an armed robbery attack in the area. Upon arrival, the troops came under gunfire from the fleeing armed robbers, resulting in a brief but intense exchange. In the course of the engagement, Mr. Jamiu was caught in the crossfire. Despite efforts by troops to secure the area and preserve lives, he sadly succumbed to his injuries. This heartbreaking loss has cast a deep shadow over all personnel of the Guards Brigade. LAGOS DIVERTS TRAFFIC AS Y2022 WORLD CUP QUALIFYING MATCH HOLDS AT TESLIM STADIUM.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

In preparation for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) third stage Super Eagles World Cup Home Qualifying Match with Cape Verde, the Lagos State Government will divert traffic to and from the Stadium in Surulere on Monday, 15th November, 2021.


In a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde said that vehicles will be barred from accessing Teslim Balogun Stadium axis from 12:00 noon till 5.00 pm, when the match will commence on Monday, 15th November.


The diversion plan, according to him, will have motorists heading towards Costain, Lagos Island from Masha/Kilo and Surulere diverted to Adeniran Ogunsanya or Bode Thomas to link Iponri or Eric Moore to access their destinations. Alternately, he advised motorists to utilise Adelabu to connect Babs Animashaun/Eric Moore axis to link Brewery and access Costain or Eko Bridge.


Oladeinde also encouraged Car owners to use the aforementioned routes to access Surulere from Lagos Island, while imploring Ikorodu Road bound motorists from Surulere to make use of Akerele to link Ogunlana Drive inwards Itire Road and connect Ojuelegba to their destinations.


The Commissioner assured that personnel of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), in conjunction with other security agencies, will be on ground to ensure seamless traffic flow, stressing that the cooperation of the Surulere community and other road users of the affected axis is vital to ease traffic flow.


Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had proposed to stage Three Super Eagles World Cup Home Qualifying Matches in Lagos State, the first in the series took place on Friday, 3rd September 2021, between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Lone Stars of Liberia and the second on Thursday, 7th October 2021, between Nigeria and the Central African Republic.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
