 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. EFCC Charges NBA on Ethics and Responsibility to Society


The Commander, Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, ACE II Onwukwe C. Obiora on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, charged the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to uphold the ethics and principles of the legal profession while discharging their duties as this is imperative to curbing corruption in the Northeast and Nigeria at large.


He gave the charge while receiving in his office, the Chairmen and executives of the Maiduguri and Biu branches of the NBA.


 While commending the association for its work and contributions to the fight against corruption, Obiora stressed the need for lawyers to be alive to their duties and responsibility to society. .

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
