 The grand finale of Indian Idol 15 has crowned its winner — Manasi Ghosh  The singing reality show, hosted by Aditya Narayan, concluded its highly competitive season with a spectacular finale, where Manasi emerged as the winner, while Shubhajit Chakraborty was declared the first runner-up. Sneha Shankar also made it to the top three. Judged by musical heavyweights Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah, the season was packed with powerful performances, emotional moments, and musical magic. Sony TV’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle announced the winner, writing, “After weeks of music, magic, and moments — Manasi didn’t just win a title, she won a million hearts.” Reacting to her win, an emotional Manasi said, “Abhi bhi mere ko hit nahi kiya hai ki maine yeh trophy jeeta hai. Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos chapter, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo has rallied Yoruba sons and daughter for the presidential ambition of former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.


MC Oluomo said he received the news of Tinubu’s declaration of his presidential ambition with great joy and happiness.


MC Oluomo said Tinubu remained the only person that has been able to uplift and developed many leaders that were now making waves across each sectors of the country.


“Having made known his intention to be president, I strongly urge all Yoruba sons and daughters to troop out en-masse and show him massive support."


“His eagle eye to source for talents and nurture them remained unparalleled. A support for Asiwaju is a support for the development of Nigeria and the unification of its people. It’s time to do the right thing and the needful,” he added.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
