 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  ''A very big congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their victory over the Pharaohs of Egypt during their first Group D match at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Tuesday in Cameroon.

I am elated that the Super Eagles put up a superlative performance to defeat the Pharaohs of Egypt, who are considered one of the favourites of the tournament.


As the leader of the Federal Government's delegation to cheer up the Super Eagles, I note with delight the team spirit among the Eagles players, therefore, I urge the Super Eagles to maintain the same spirit and tempo throughout the tournament so that they would come back home with the trophy. I also commend the technical crew of the Super Eagles for doing a good job.


A big applause goes to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare and his team,  and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation''- Gbajabiamila.
