 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Oluwo Jogbodo Orunmila, an Ifa priest says the myth of money ritual – an occultic activity that sometimes involve the killing and mutilations of humans – is fictitious and impossible.


In what appears to be a growing campaign against ritual killings disguised as money rituals, the herbalist has condemned the crime on Twitter, describing it as something that only happens in Nollywood.


“For the 100000000times, there is nothing like money rituals. We live in real world not nollywood movies,” Mr Jogbodo tweeted.


In another tweet also on Thursday, he said that the spirit world doesn’t have banks that would have printed paper notes, futher urging people to stop ritual killings.


“The spirit worlds doesn’t have banks that print money and banks here didn’t complain of spirit stealing their money. Stop killing people,” Mr Jogbodo tweeted.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
