 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Gunmen behead Ebube Agu personnel in Ebonyi State 



Sunday Nwafor, a member of the Ebube Agu security outfit in Ebonyi state, has been killed by gunmen.

The incident was said to have happened on Saturday in Ekpelu, Ikwo LGA of the state.
Confirming the incident to TheCable, Loveth Odah, spokesperson of the state police command, said the 30-year-old man was shot in his house before he was dragged out and beheaded.
Odeh said: “According to the wife, some people came to their house in the village and broke into the room.

“She overheard them telling the guy the ‘you left us in the bush to work with Ebube Agu where you are collecting N30,000′.
“She said she heard a gunshot. He was killed, dragged outside and beheaded.
“The commissioner of police condemned the inhumane act.

“He has vowed to do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure everyone directly or indirectly involved, are punished according to law.”
Odah added that two persons have been arrested in connection to the crime.
“Investigations are still ongoing to arrest the remaining perpetrators,” she said.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
