 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE RESCUE SUSPECT FROM JUNGLE JUSTICE OVER ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OF 5 YEAR OLD CHILD. …CP FCT Condemns such acts as it delays the course of justice The FCT Police Command, on the 4th of October 2026 at approximately 02:46PM, received a distress call reporting that an unidentified adult male was being assaulted by an angry mob over an alleged attempt to abduct a child. Following receipt of the report, police operatives from Kuje Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where one Bashir Usman was rescued from an irate mob that was about to lynch him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was being assaulted by the mob over allegations that he attempted to abduct a five year old child in front of her residence in Angwan Lado, Kuje Area Council of the FCT. LAGOS DIRECTORATE OF CITIZENS RIGHTS GETS NEW DIRECTOR

… Tasks Counsel on Optimal Service Delivery

Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi has been appointed as the new Director, Directorate of Citizens Rights (DCR), Lagos State Ministry of Justice following the deployment of her predecessor.

Speaking at her maiden meeting with all members of staff of the Office, Oshinusi tasked the workers on the need for improved productivity and optimum service delivery to the citizenry

She emphasised that it is high time all the Counsel in the Directorate up the ante in a bid to boost the State's Human Rights record, saying, "It is important to show absolute dedication and commitment to your official duties in order to improve on the State’s Human Rights record".

The new Director also urged the staff to extend her the maximum cooperation given to her predecessor in order to achieve the set goals and objectives of the Directorate.

Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi, who was a Director in the Department of Public Prosecution until her deployment, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 and has wealth of experience practising law in both the Private and Public Sectors.
