  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. There is Nothing Wrong with a Native Doctor 'Akwa Okuko' spraying Money on me - Gozie Okeke

"So many of you are poor because you don't think.

"I want to talk sense into some idio.ts parading themselves as Deputy Jesus, Holy Nweje, all they do is criticize people, fault finders who does not look at the mirror to see their own fault. What is your problem?

"Akwa Okuko' came to me spraying me money, he came with a very huge amount of money. My duty is to appreciate him and I appreciate him because he showed me Love. I don't see anything bad in doing it. Because he is a Native Doctor, some people took it very personal, so serious. Stop criticizing me. If Akwa Okuko' comes to you to spray you money you can rebuke him, as for me, I appreciate him."

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
