 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. An exclusive report by SaharaReporters has uncovered how David Namstav Shirsha, a former Supervisory Councillor in the Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State, defrauded widows and youths in the community, using an online networking business, ‘Covis Club International’.

David was said to have asked women and youths in the community to invest their money in the online networking business of the organisation with the promise that they will make profits every month, to be determined by their investment capital.

SaharaReporters gathered that about 35 persons were affected...
