 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. EFCC Returns Recovered N1.5bn to NHIS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 10, 2022 returned the sum of N1, 550,000.000 (One Billion, Five Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) to the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS.

The fund is part of monies which some commercial banks fraudulently withheld and refused to transmit to their Treasury Single Account, TSA, since 2015.

The Commission had earlier on September 16, 2021 released N1, 300,000,000, also recovered from the banks to the Agency.
