 In a shocking terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, more than 26 people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday afternoon.  Most of the victims were tourists, including two foreigners and two locals. The terrorists opened fire at a popular meadow near the town, firing over 50 rounds at the crowd. This is the deadliest terror attack in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama bombing. According to sources, the attack was planned by Pakistani-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and its shadow group, The Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed responsibility. Intelligence reports suggest that a reconnaissance (recce) of various tourist destinations, including hotels in Pahalgam, was carried out by terrorists from April 1 to 7. More than three terrorists are suspected to have executed the attack. The shooting began around 2:30 PM when two to three terrorists reached Baisaran, a scenic spot in Pahalgam. The 21-year-old suspected terrorist, Naziru Sani, working under the camp of Bello Turji, a notorious terrorist, on the police wanted list for acts of terrorism has confessed to killing over 20 persons in several attacks across Nigeria’s northwest.

The young terrorist made the disclosure to Vanguard when SP Gambo Isah, the Police PRO in the state paraded him at the Command’s headquarter on Tuesday.

Sani, a resident of Makera Village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State was arrested along Jabiri Quarters in Funtua LGA, Katsina based on credible intelligence report, SP Gambo disclosed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
