 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Press Statement

PDP Extends Tenure of North West Zone, Lagos State Caretaker Committees

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the extension of the tenures of North West Zonal Caretaker Committee as well as the Lagos State Caretaker Committee for a period not exceeding 30 days.

To this effect, the current members of the respective Caretaker Committees are to continue in their capacities for an additional duration not exceeding 30 days, upon the expiration of their current tenure.

Consequently, the tenure of the North West Zonal Caretaker Committee has been extended from Monday, February 28, 2022 to Monday, March 28, 2022 while the tenure of the Lagos State Caretaker Committee has also been extended from Friday, February 19, 2022 to Saturday, March 19, 2022.

All critical stakeholders and members of our Party in the North West Zone as well as Lagos State are requested to take note.
