 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. PDP Extends Tenure of North West Zone, Lagos State Caretaker Committees

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the extension of the tenures of North West Zonal Caretaker Committee as well as the Lagos State Caretaker Committee for a period not exceeding 30 days.

To this effect, the current members of the respective Caretaker Committees are to continue in their capacities for an additional duration not exceeding 30 days, upon the expiration of their current tenure.

Consequently, the tenure of the North West Zonal Caretaker Committee has been extended from Monday, February 28, 2022 to Monday, March 28, 2022 while the tenure of the Lagos State Caretaker Committee has also been extended from Friday, February 19, 2022 to Saturday, March 19, 2022.

All critical stakeholders and members of our Party in the North West Zone as well as Lagos State are requested to take note.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
