Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. Pharmacist, Solomon Akuma Detained Over Twitter Comment Against Buhari Spends Second Birthday In Detention 

Solomon Akuma, a pharmacist detained by the Muhammadu Buhari regime, will be spending his second birthday in detention over a Twitter comment.

Akuma turned 30 today (Tuesday, February 1, 2022) but he will not be having fun on his birthday as he is being detained by the Buhari regime.

This would be the second birthday the pharmacist would be celebrating in detention following his arrest in 2020 over the Twitter comment.

Akuma is being prosecuted after his arrest on April 2, 2020, in Abia, Abia State for tweeting that he will "pay a Russian sniper to eliminate (President Muhammadu) Buhari and (Abba) Kyari (Buhari’s former Chief of Staff)" in response to a Twitter post asking "if $1m hits your account, your next move?"
