 NASPRI integrates artificial intelligence into strategic communication training In a significant stride toward modernizing military public relations, the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) has introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a key component of its Strategic Communication Course. This development was announced by the Acting Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde, during the inauguration ceremony of the Second Quarter 2025 Courses held at the Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja Auditorium, Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri-Abuja. Lt. Col Ngulde revealed that participants will undergo training in AI-driven information management and fact-checking, aligning with the evolving demands of modern communication and warfare. He emphasized the importance of Strategic Communication in shaping military narratives, countering misinformation, and supporting national interests both in times of peace and conflict. VETERAN NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, CHIEF LARRY WILLIAMS IS DEAD.


Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Lari Williams, has died at the age of 81 following a long illness.

Williams, who was famous for his roles in hit soap operas such as Village Headmaster, Ripples, and Mirror in The Sun, died peacefully on Sunday at his home in Ikom, Cross River State.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to our correspondent by the family.

During his lifetime, Williams was a poet, playwright and celebrated actor both in live theatre and on screen, earning him a prestigious national honour; Member of the Order of the Federal Republic in 2008.

Chief Williams was the first president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria and had a career that spanned over five decades.

After studying Journalism at the London School of Journalism, he proceeded to study English at Morley College and then drama at the Mountview Theatre School and Stratford E15 Acting School, England to become a professional actor.

“He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Burial arrangements will be announced soon,” the statement read.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
