 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said. AIRLINE SUSPENDS FLIGHT OPERATIONS TO KADUNA.(PHOTO).

Azman Air has announced the suspension of flights to Kaduna over the recent attack on the Kaduna International Airport.

The airline’s management disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.

On Saturday it was reported how terrorists had shot into the runway of the airport, killing a security guard.

The terrorists were, however, repelled by security operatives.

An Azman Air flight was said to have been delayed for 44 minutes as a result of the incident, but passengers on the aircraft flew safely from Kaduna to Lagos.

Giving an update on its decision following the incident at the airport, Azman Air said the suspension is to ensure that the safety of travellers and workers is guaranteed.
