 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. Governor Obiano And Wife Ebelechukwu Join Valedictory Holy Mass In Aguleri




Hours after making his final public address to Ndi Anambra, Governor Willie Obiano, and wife, Ebelechukwu have joined a valedictory holy mass, the last activity on the family's schedule before the official end of term of his administration.

The holy mass is presided over by present and past Catholic bishops from all the dioceses in Anambra State, while clergymen from both the Catholic Church and Anglican Communion from within and outside Anambra State, are taking part in the Eucharistic celebration.

Together, the clergymen prayed for the governor and his family, for giving him the right health, energy and vision to sail through his eight-year mandated period, noting that history would always remember Governor Obiano's charisma and pattern of leadership.

They wished him well in his future endeavors, and prayed God to grant him a peaceful and serene life.

Some government officials, family members and friends also took part in the holy mass.

The fifth democratically elected governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano retires today's midnight.
