Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive. People were crying at the inauguration when it dawned on them that Chief Willie Obiano was leaving office.

The moment he came down from his car, many people started crying, hailing him and saying good things about him and how they would miss him in office.

Such things only happen when good men are leaving office and I can boldly tell you that Chief Willie Obiano is a good man.

Sadly the negative events that occurred on the inauguration day have overshadowed other remarkable things that happened on the same day.

Of course bad news always flies faster than good news.

.

While I was SSA I spent a lot of close moments with him.

Akpokue Dike is a good man who did his best for Anambra.

A youth friendly Governor who gave lots and lots of opportunities to the youths.

A jolly good man who welcomed all.

Always jovial and welcoming and ready to do all he can to build Anambra.

A man who had a gentlemanly agreement with the new Governor Prof. Charles Soludo in 2017 and even after 5yrs he still kept his word.

Unfortunately in life, many people who are not close to you will always have bad things to say about you.

What I witnessed on the inauguration day was exactly same feeling that occurred all across Nigeria when we lost President Umaru Musa Yaradua.

Tears.

We all felt the exit of a good man.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
