Nigeria, UNIDO Sign $175m Deal to Boost Industrialisation The Federal Government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) have signed a $175 million Country Partnership Programme (PCP) to enhance Nigeria’s industrial capacity, technological innovation, and economic growth. Budget and Economic Planning Minister, Abubakar Bagudu, said the initiative aligns with Nigeria’s Agenda 2050 and President Tinubu’s economic reforms. Nigeria will contribute $25 million, while UNIDO will mobilize $149 million. The programme aims to drive private sector participation, improve access to capital, and support industrialisation efforts. Manufacturers Association of Nigeria President, Francis Meshioye, said over 1,000 industry workers are already benefiting from capacity-building components.
