 Nigeria in peril, needs collective salvation, says Tambuwal at 60 Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and ex-Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, on Saturday, warned that Nigeria is in grave danger and urgently needs national salvation, calling on citizens across political, ethnic and religious divides to unite and rescue the country from its current trajectory. Tambuwal spoke at a high-profile colloquium organised in Abuja to mark his 60th birthday, an event that brought together former Presidents, vice presidents, political leaders and statesmen, who used the occasion to reflect on the state of Nigeria’s democracy and the future of governance. Lamenting the state of the nation, Tambuwal said Nigeria has fallen far short of the hopes and expectations that accompanied the return to democratic rule. Yahoo Boy's Mother Jailed Five Years in Benin

Debest Osarumwense, mother of Endurance Osarumwense, an internet fraudster was today March 29, 2022, sentenced to five years imprisonment by Justice M. S. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City.

Debest was arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the Commission on a one count charge for aiding her son to receive the sum of N91,296,150 (Ninety One Million, Two Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty Naira) only, being proceeds of his criminal activities.

Upon arraignment, the defendant pleaded guilty.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
