 PRESS RELEASE:  ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR ABDUCTION AND DEFILEMENT OF A 14-YEAR-OLD The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the public of a recent arrest concerning a case of abduction and defilement. On April 2, 2025, at approximately 3:20 am, operatives of the C4I Strike Force, while on a routine patrol along the Casablanca Axis, GRA Phase-2, Port Harcourt, apprehended one Emmanuel Godwin (male, 23 years old) of 25 Chinda Street, Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt. The suspect was found in the company of a minor, name withheld (female, 14 years old), of 11 Nwogu Martins Street, Chinda, Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt. Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to abducting the minor and detaining her in a room where three other individuals also engaged in unlawful acts with her for over a week.  I am a 33 year old man and my wife is 24 years old we are 5 years of marriage.

 My father-in-law is a very wealthy businessman. He paid us for a well-constructed plot and we lived peacefully until our first daughter was born.

 When I come home from work, my wife forces me to take care of the child. Each time it's me who cleans the child, changes his diapers, gives him the bottle, I also have to prepare food, tidy up the house, I can't even watch the game on TV or go out to see my friends. She makes me watch novelas with her all night yet she won't go to work like me.

 She is the one who decides everything in the house, even when we have to eat, when we have to make love. I accept all this without resentment, because I love her with all my heart and I don't want to lose her but what I can't bear šŸ˜­, since her father gave her a car, my life has become l hell, she makes me wash her car, she blames me, she hits me regularly, she once sent me to the hospital, I have the wounds all over my back.

 My wife terrifies me, when I see her, I panic. What can I do to change my situation? Because I love her and I don't want to lose her.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. ā€œThe Appellant was set up.
