 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. ADEGOKE'S MURDER: HEARING ADJOURNED AS 2ND DEFENDANT COUGHS,SLUMPS IN OSUN COURT.(PHOTO).

Amild drama ensued on Monday at the resumed hearing of the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), when Magdalene Chiefuna, the second defendant in the matter slumped in the courtroom.
 
The Presiding Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo immediately adjourned the matter to allow the defendant to be attended to.

Chiefuna was said to have slumped when the lawyer for the defendants was arguing over the propriety of handing over the case to the human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).
 
She was reportedly coughing repeatedly before the court clerk and corrections officials rushed to her side.

Last week, the Osun State Government declared Falana as being in full charge of the prosecution of the case involving the murder of Timothy Adegoke.

Adegoke was killed last November after lodging in the Hilton Hotel and Resorts, Ile-Ife, Osun State. Police investigations have linked some members of the hotel staff to the alleged murder and accused Adedoyin of moves to destroy evidence.
