 Jill Biden to release memoir View From the East Wing in June  Former First Lady Jill Biden will release her memoir, View from the East Wing, on June 2. The book reflects on her experiences during Joe Biden’s presidency, including his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. Published by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, the memoir will also be available as an audio edition narrated by Biden herself. The book offers an intimate look at life as First Lady during major historical events, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the aftermath of January 6, while sharing her personal perspective on the presidency and its impact on her family. For the first time, she details her experiences surrounding her husband’s choice not to seek reelection, sharing both the uplifting and challenging moments of that period. Anambra House Of Assembly Confirms Ezeokenwa As Commissioner Designate 



Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa as commissioner designate for special duties. 

The House confirmed his appointment during plenary following the report of the House committee on Screening and Election matters, presented by the chairman of the committee, Dr. Paschal Agbodike which found him suitably qualified to serve as a Commissioner in the government of Anambra State. 

Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor read out his confirmation, while the House supported it through voice vote.

Also at plenary, the member representing Onitsha North One Constituency, Honourable Douglass Egbuna returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the APC.

Honourable Egbuna who defected to the APC from the PDP before the November six 2021 Anambra state governorship election, said he returned to the PDP for reasons best known to him. 

Similarly, the member representing Awka North Constituency, Honourable John Nwokoye defected to the PDP from the APC
