 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. The Creative Industry Group, CIG, organizers of the Creative Industry Festival, CIFEST announces the postponement of her CIFEST 2022 which was meant to hold between the 1st and 7th of May 2022 at designated locations across Lagos State with a continual behive of activities at the Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos daily for the duration of the seven days festival. This call was made by our intending sponsors, who we are in talks with, to have a date that suits all parties. After due deliberation, members of the CIG executives concurred.  A later date will be announced in the nearest future. All foreign participants in the continent and beyond as well as States in Nigeria have been duly informed. The Group apologizes to all our expected and intending participants and guests for any inconveniency caused by the postponement.
