 NAF GETS FIRST-EVER SERVING PROFESSOR, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO R&D AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE In a landmark achievement for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and a major boost to its research and development (R&D) endeavours, the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), has approved the appointment of Air Vice Marshal Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike as Professor of Aerospace Engineering. This makes him the first-ever serving officer in the NAF to be conferred the rank of Professor. Air Vice Marshal Ubadike, an accomplished scholar and military professional, holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Vehicle Design from the esteemed Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. He also possesses 3 other Masters degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), with a First-Class Bachelor of Electrical Electronics Engineering degree from NDA. EFCC Arraigns Woman for N150million Fraud

The EFCC on Monday, April 11, 2022, arraigned Fatima Mohammed Suleiman and her company: Jamila Multilink Logistics Services Limited for criminal breach of trust to the tune of N150, 000,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) only.

She was arraigned before Justice Samirah Umar Bature of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court sitting in Maitama Abuja, on one -count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and diversion of funds.

Suleiman, a director of Jamila Multilink Logistics Services Limited, on or about the 23rd October, 2020, in Abuja, allegedly converted to personal use, the sum of N100, 006,850.00 (One Hundred Million Naira, Six Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Naira) out of the sum of N150, 000,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) only given to her by Bello Yusuf Malumfashi for purchase of United States Dollars.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
