 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. POLICE OFFICER SMOKING WEED IDENTIFIED 


The Lagos State Police Command has identified the police officer pictured smoking weed at the Ijora area of Lagos State. 

He is ASP Babatunde Adebayo serving at Shogunle Divison of the Command. 

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc has directed the immediate commencement of appropriate disciplinary measures commensurate with his rank. 

CP Alabi has equally warned officers and men of the Command to stay clear of all unprofessional and unethical conducts as any officer found guilty of these acts will be severely sanctioned.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
