 SECURITY: NEIGHBOURHOOD SAFETY CORPS APPREHENDS TWO THIEVES IN IKORODU While Lagos residents celebrated the Eid el Fitri festival, operatives of the Ikorodu Command of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps apprehended two thieves as they attempted to make away with stolen items. The culprits, Olamilekan Adumobi 21 (m) from Bode-Olude, Abeokuta, Ogun State and his accomplice, Jabir (m) who claimed to be a crap dealer from Katsina state, were arrested by the officers at about 1400hrs in front of the Central Mosque on Kazeem Arulogun Street.  The two suspects were then taken to the Ikorodu Command office at Ita-Elewa, where they confessed to stealing five pieces of Cutting disc, two pieces of welding tongs, five pieces of angle iron, and one iron hammer.  The owners of the items and the property at Abule Balogun, Eruwen, where the thieves burgled were all contacted on the phone to report to the office.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
