  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. IPOB Vows To Deliver Hoodlums Beheading Residents Of South East To Soludo

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has vowed to the Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, to capture and expose the hoodlums behind the beheading of a state lawmaker, Okechukwu Okoye.

IPOB, angered by the gruesome murder of the lawmaker and the army couple heading to Imo State, in a statement on Tuesday by its spokespersons, Emma Powerful, described both incidents as abominable in Igbo land.

Powerful also noted that the incident was intended to rope in IPOB and frustrate the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and the actualisation of Biafra.

The group in the statement wondered why the abduction and the killing of the lawmaker occurred a day after governor Soludo visited their leader in detention when everybody including IPOB was rejoicing in the attempt made by Soludo to free its leader.

Powerful said: “Governor Chukwuma Soludo must prepare to meet these evil men humiliating and killing our people head-on.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
