 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. NEW LABOUR PS SOLICITS COOPERATION OF MANAGEMENT AND STAFF

 
The new Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ms Kachollom S. Daju, mni, has solicited the cooperation of the management and staff in actualising the mandate of the Ministry.
 
Daju spoke in Abuja, as she formally took over the duties of her office from the Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr John Magbadelo.
 
The Permanent Secretary also solicited their support as she pilots the affairs of the Ministry and works to deliver effective service in the Labour sector.
 
She noted that team work would enhance the productivity of the Ministry, and subsequently lead to an overall achievement of the Ministry's mandate.
 
According to her, “I am hopeful that with your full cooperation I can settle in quickly and work will continue in earnest. 
 
“Together we shall find new and innovative ways to build on the gains we already enjoy in the Ministry of Labour and Employment.”
 
The Permanent Secretary expressed her belief that the management and staff would work positively with her as a team “to support the Honourable Minister and the Honourable Minister of State, to not only continue to actualize the mission and vision of this Ministry, but also, to ensure the mandate of Mr President to better the lives of the citizens is achieved.”
 
She added that her experience through the years as an Information officer would stand her in good stead in pushing for a more visible Ministry of Labour and Employment, through publicizing its mandates and achievements.
 
Earlier, the Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr John Magbadelo, pledged the maximum cooperation of the management and staff with the Permanent Secretary, as they strive for the overall success of the Ministry.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
