 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Resignation From Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Withdrawal Erom the
Fresidential Contest

am writing to imtimate you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), which was conveyed to the Chairman of Agulu Ward 2. Anaocha LGA
Anambra, effective Friday 20 May, 2022. Consequently, I am by this letter
informing you of my withdrawal for the PDP Presidential Primaries.

It has been a great honour to contribute to nation-building efforts through our
party. Untortunately, recent developments within our party make it practically
impossible to continue participating and making such constructive contrıbutions.

Our national challenges are deep-seated and require that we each make
profound sacrifices towards rescuing Our country. My commitment to rescuing
Nigeria remains firm, even if the route differs.

I wish to thank you personally tor your graciousness and leadership. I wish you
well and best of luck in the service of country.
