 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Unbeaten Sodiq "Golden Boy" Oyakojo upsets hometown favorite Nigerian ranked number nine lightweight contender Azeez "Latest" Ayobami Saturday June 4, 2022 on GOTv night at Liberty Stadium by majority decession.  Oyakojo who was a last minute replacement displayed that he was a better boxer and improved his pro boxing record to (2-0) 1 KO.  Alaba "Elibow" Omotola also unbeaten with a pro boxing record of (3-0) 1KO  was the boxer scheduled to face Azeez "Latest" Ayomide but deal fail apart due to proper agreement.  Omotola is expected to return to the ring next month July 2, 2022 at Alake Sports Complex in Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria. This card is expected to bring many top boxers in the Country. Omotola was named one of the best boxers in the Country by GOTv in 2019. He has maintained his unbeaten record to date. As an ambassador of the Sports, Omotola is doing fund raising in Akure, Ondo State for the Motherless babies homes. This is a boxer we should all watch out for and he is very good for Nigeria boxing. International offers and interest are coming in for this young talented boxer.
