 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. POLICE ARREST TWO ARMED ROBBERS
ON APONGBON BRIDGE


Recover motorcycle, laptop, other items

Officers of jora Badia Division of the Lagos State Police

Command, have arrested one Mustapha Mohammed 'm
aged 37 and Abdullahi Buba m aged 20 while escaping
with their loot after robbing some Lagosians.

The suspects were arrested at about 0215hrs on
Thursday, June 2, 2022 following credible information
received by the police about an ongoing robbery on

Apongbon Bridge Ebute-Ero. A third suspect, bearing arms

shot his way into escaping.

motorcycle, 1 new LG plasma T, 66 various items
ordered online from Jumia, 1 HP Laptop, 1 bag of

Honeywell flour and 1 iron cutter.

The suspects, who confessed to have robbed at the samee
spot several times, are currently assisting the police in an

ongoing investigation to arrest other fleeing membersof

the gang. Suspects will be arraigned in court at the

conclusionot investigations.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun
Alabi, fdc, once again assures Lagosians that the

command WOuld continue to do everything operationally
possible to ensure that crime and criminality has no place

in Lagos State.
