 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED TRAFFIC ROBBERS AT GBAGADA


Officers of Ifako division of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested one Alaba Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 35 and Hammed Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 39 along Gbagada road. 

The suspects were arrested by policemen on routine patrol following credible information received about the presence of suspicious persons on Deeper Life Bible Church Bridge Gbagada. A third suspect, took to his heels upon sighting the policemen.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects have been operating at that spot during traffic grid lock, distracting motorists and subsequently carting away their phones and other belongings.

The suspects are currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation to arrest the third suspect and other members of their gang.  Suspects would be arraigned contingent on the outcome of investigation.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, while commending the officers for their resilience in fishing out traffic robbers, has directed that efforts be sustained towards eradicating criminality within Lagos State.
