 Eight Kwara TESCOM Applicants Disqualified Over Failed Drug Tests Eight out of 1,800 shortlisted candidates for teaching roles under the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) have been disqualified after testing positive for banned substances. TESCOM Press Secretary, Sam Onile, revealed this in a statement on Monday, quoting the Commission’s Chairman, Bello Abubakar. The affected candidates tested positive for drugs including tramadol, marijuana, benzodiazepine, cotinine, and amphetamine. The tests were conducted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with the support of the state government. Abubakar said the disqualified applicants will be replaced by the next best-performing candidates from their respective local governments. “This underscores the government’s zero-tolerance stance on drug abuse,” the statement read. “We cannot risk exposing schoolchildren to such influences.” The TESCOM chairman also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for champio...

Terrorists Release Names Of 11 Freed Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack Victims 

The names of the 11 released Kaduna-Abuja train victims have been released.

Terrorists had abducted over 60 train passengers in March 2022 but released the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture a few days later.

They also released a pregnant woman who was abducted alongside other victims.

However, on Saturday 11, 2022, the terrorists released five males and six females whose names were given below;
Amina Ba’aba Mohammed
Rashida Yusuf Busari
Jessey John
Hannah Ajewole
Amina Jibril
Najib Mohammed Dahiru
Hassan Aliyu
Peace A. Boy
Danjuma Sa’idu
Gaius Gambo

One other boy whose name was not released was among those released.
