 The Traditional Ruler of Azumini Ndoki Ancient Kingdom in Ukwa East LGA, Abia State, HRM Eze Edward Eule (Onyenweali X), has dismissed claims by some of his subjects that he abandoned his throne following his temporary absence from the community. This is as six suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the stealing of the community’s electricity transformer, thus plunging the community into darkness. The monarch, who is currently in the U.S, explained that his trip was to attend to personal and professional matters, adding that he will soon return to Nigeria. "I travelled to the United States of America in May 2025 to attend to some professional and personal matters. I am robustly healthy and fine, and I may soon conclude the task of my sojourn here", he said. Prof. Eule accused individuals he described as "mischief-makers operating under the guise of an Interim Ruling Council" of peddling falsehoods and propaganda about his alleged abdication. ...

Appointing Caretaker Govt in Anambra LGAs Illegal, APC Tells Soludo

The All Progressives Congress, Anambra State chapter, has kicked against the continuous adoption and appointment of local government caretaker chairmen in Anambra State instead of conducting elections, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.

The party described the action as “illegal” and “provocative”, a move it said, started from the administrations of former governors Peter Obi and Willie Obiano.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Anambra State Publicity Secretary of APC, Okelo Madukaife, said caretaker governments are illegal and a clear constitutional violation, specifically on Section 7 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

Madukaife added that the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo will be held responsible in the event of any anarchy arising from the state government’s “white-eyed” challenge to the Nigerian Constitution.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
