 PDP, Ighodalo’s appeal will crash, Okpebholo assures Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo (middle, backing the camera), while addressing the tumultuous crowd of supporters at his victory rally in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area in Edo Central Senatorial District of the state. Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo has declared the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, would crash at the Court of Appeal. Okpebholo spoke at Okaijesan Town Hall, Irrua, venue of the celebration of his Wednesday’s victory at the election petitions tribunal in Abuja, which Ighodalo and PDP vowed to appeal with the well-attended and colourful rally hosted by Edo Central senatorial district’s leaders. ASUU: Speaker, Gbajabiamila Continues Education In USA.

Some Nigerians on social media, Tuesday, expressed displeasure over the resumption of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila in a university in the United States of America amidst the lingering strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Gbajabiamila had on Tuesday tweeted via his verified Twitter handle, @femigbaja that he had gone back to the Harvard Kennedy School.

“Back to class. In a leadership course @havard @Kennedy_school. Forget the number of grey hairs, one is never too old to learn.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
