So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

VICE CHAIRMAN OF A LG ABANDONS OFFICE FOR FARMING IN HIS VILLAGE, SAYS CHAIRMAN IS NOT CARRYING HIM ALONG

Hon Musa James Akpomoshi
53-year-old Vice Chairman of Kokona Local Government Council, Hon. Musa James Akpomoshi has cried that he has been put in limbo by his principal.

He made this known in a now-viral post on Facebook on Sunday, alleging that the Chairman, Hon. Awalu Adamu has relegated him to the background in the running of Council’s affairs.

This, Akpomoshi explained has forced him to “abandoned the office and take his farming seriously”.

He lamented that the administration is almost a year in office, yet nothing tangible to show as achievement.

“All efforts made to improve the administrative aspect of the Council proved abortive”, he added.

As next year’s general elections approaches, the Vice Chairman enjoined voters to vote credible candidates who when in office will help them.

“Vote wisely and good candidates who will help you after the election. Vote candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” he advised.

Reacting however, the Chairman’s media aide, Ephraim Jatau in a statement on Monday urged the general public to disregard the allegations as it has no iota of truth.

Jatau absolved the Chairman wrongdoing and assured residents of the area of more dividends of democracy.

“Our attention has been drawn to a publication on social media made by Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa, the Deputy Chairman, Kokona Local Government Council that he abandoned his office and take his farming seriously because his principal, the Executive Chairman, Kokona Local Government Council Hon. Awalu Adamu has not involved him (Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa) in the affairs or administration of the Council.

“I wouldn’t join issues with the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa on the purported allegations on his principal, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Awalu Adamu.

“However it may interest you and the general public to know that;

“Farming is not restricted to the peasant farmers/Civil Servant alone but Public Servants are at liberty to farm, even my principal the Executive Chairman, Hon. Awalu Adamu does goes to his farm on weekends.

“My principal the Executive Chairman, Hon. Awalu Adamu is Fine, Healthy and Capable to carry-out his responsibilities bestowed upon him by the good people of Kokona Local Government Area, and as such the Deputy Chairman cannot take those responsibilities while the Chairman is still active.

“Hon. Awalu Adamu a visionary leader and a man who is all-time ready to deliver dividends of Democracy to the good people of Kokona Local Government Area has on assumption into office reaffirmed his commitment to developing the Council through the Statistical Revenue Allocation (SRA) and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), And inclusive governance.

“It’s on this note that, On the 3rd December, 2021, He Constituted and Inaugurates a Committee on Revenue Generation, been Chaired by his Deputy, Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa among other members.

“If there’s any work in the Counci, is the Generation of Revenue. And the man incharge is the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa, but has failed and abandoned his responsibility as the Chairman, Revenue Generation after all outh decided to be busy in his farm, engaging on his personal work which is liable to impeachment by the relevant sections of the Local Government Law.

“The Deputy Chairman, may have moral questions to answer weather or not he is performing his official functions in the Council.

“He may also be call to give account of the running cost his office has been receiving monthly.

“On the said F&GPC and Security Council meeting at the Local Government Council, the Deputy Chairman Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa should have known that he is not a member of the said meetings and as such know that his principal is living to expectations.

“On this note, I wish to call on the general public to justify the submission of the Deputy Chairman Hon. Akpomoshi James Musa, wether he has the moral ground to challenge his principal,” the statement reads.
