 Single Mother Arrested for Allegedly Killing Twin Sister and Daughter in Enugu A horrific incident has shaken the community of Umuidenyi, Aji, Enugu Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, after a single mother, Oluchukwu Odo, was taken into custody for allegedly killing her twin sister and daughter. According to eyewitnesses, the tragic event occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at the family's home. Although details leading up to the incident are still unclear, family sources revealed that Oluchukwu's twin sister had visited their parents' home with her daughter when the incident occurred. A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted the chilling events: "I heard the woman screaming and running towards my door. EID-EL-KABIR: SULTAN DECLARES JULY 9 AS CELEBRATION DAY

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared July 9 as Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah).

This is the second significant celebration in Islam.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria on its Twitter handle, @moonsightingng.

In the announcement, the Sultan was quoted as calling on muslims to intensify efforts in acts of worship during the first ten days of the blessed month of Zul-Hijjah and also pray for peace, stability and progress of the country.

The tweets read: “Assalaamu alaikum, His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, has declared Thursday 30th, June as the first day of Dhul Hijjah.

“The Sultanate council will release an official statement shortly.

“Eidul Adha will be on Saturday, 10th Zul-Hijjah 1443H (9th July 2022) In Sha Allah. His Eminence, the Sultan hereby calls upon the Muslim Ummah to intensify efforts in acts of worship during the first ten days of the blessed month of Zul-Hijjah and also pray for peace, stability and progress of the country”, it added.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
